How to use BRouter offline router on iOS, macOS, Windows, Android

The Cartograph Maps app comes with native BRouter support on all platforms, including BRouter for iOS, BRouter for macOS, BRouter for Windows, and BRouter for Android.

You can use BRouter as follows:

  1. Click/press and hold somewhere on the map and select “Navigate to” or “Navigate from“. A toolbar opens on the bottom of the screen.
  2. Click on the three dots icon in the bottom toolbar and select “Routing service“.
  3. Select “BRouter offline” from the list of routing services.

The BRouter tool built into the Cartograph Maps app supports “No go areas”, as well as custom routing profiles and in-app editing of existing routing profiles.

The following video shows how to use BRouter “no-go” areas in Cartograph Maps:

The next video shows how to use BRouter for semi-automatic route planning:

I am having problems using Brouter on mobile. I can route a track using OSRM, but switching to Brouter as the router service, I always get the error message ‘Es wurde keine Route gefunden’. Do I need to do anything to install additional Brouter files or something like that?

Maybe the BRouter files are corrupt. Please try to delete all files in the “BRouter/segments” folder (in the Cartograph directory).
