Cartograph Maps 3.7.3<\/strong> and newer comes with support for MapLibre <\/strong><\/a>styles. A MapLibre style is a “container” which defines map and overlay layers, as well as their styling. Popular sources for maps using MapLibre styles are for instance MapTiler.com<\/a> and OpenMapTiles.org<\/a>. It is also possible to create customized styles using the Maputnik style editor<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note<\/strong>: MapLibre is not fully functional on macOS (e.g. no text rendering).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding a MapLibre map<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to the Map manager <\/strong><\/a>and select “Online<\/strong>” respectively “Offline<\/strong>” maps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Press the “+<\/strong>” button on the bottom right of the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Select “Special online maps<\/strong>“, respectively “Special offline maps<\/strong>“.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Select “MapLibre<\/strong>“.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Scroll down:\n

    • For online maps <\/strong>enter the map’s address (including the API key) into the “Server url<\/strong>” field. The “API key” field is usually not required. An example server address is “https:\/\/api.maptiler.com\/maps\/streets-v2\/style.json?key=<your_maptiler_key>”.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • For offline maps <\/strong>select a local “Map file<\/strong>“, ideally located in the main app directory. The “API key” field is usually not required. The local map file has full access to the app documents. This means, if your style references local resources, then you can place them into the documents directory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
